Pode levar cachorro na praia?
Nem todas as praias recebem bem os cachorros. Infelizmente, em muitas praias os animais de estimação ainda são proibidos ou aceitos com muitas restrições.
No Brasil não há uma lei federal que impeça animais nas praias. Por isso cada estado e município possui suas próprias leis com relação a isso, e apenas as cidades de Natal (RN), Parnamirim (RN) e Rio de Janeiro (RJ) permitem cães nas praias.
As demais praias brasileiras não permitem cachorros, porém na maioria delas não há fiscalização e é muito comum ver cachorros passeando pela areia ou brincando no mar. Mas a proibição existe e pode gerar multa a quem descumprir, então fique ligado.
As leis que proíbem animais nas praias são herança de tempos antigos, que não faz muito sentido nos dias de hoje, não é mesmo? O Brasil ocupa a segunda posição no ranking mundial de animais de estimação, a maioria das famílias brasileiras possuem pelo menos um pet, sendo o cachorro o preferido do brasileiro. E todos nós já sabemos que a posição que os pets ocupam na vida das pessoas mudou, cada vez mais somos considerados como parte da família, e passaram a nos acompanhar em momentos de lazer. É só ver o aumento crescente de lugares pet friendly por todo o país.
Em algumas cidades como Florianópolis (SC) existe um movimento formado por pessoas que buscam conseguir a permissão para que os cachorros acessem as praias, o movimento conta com orientação e apoio de diversos profissionais e grande apoio popular, porém esbarra ainda em dificuldades legais e burocracia. Santos (SP) já conseguiu a permissão para que os pets acessem as praias.
Bom, visto tudo isso, bora saber os cuidados necessários para um dia tranquilo na praia.
Cuidados com o cachorro na praia
Antes de passear com seu cachorro na praia, é necessário tomar alguns cuidados especiais para garantir o nosso bem estar:
- Certifique-se de que a praia aceita animais – Muitas praias proíbem a presença de animais na areia, principalmente refúgios ecológicos ou locais que sirvam de maternidade para espécies marinhas, como as tartarugas. Para evitar problemas, sempre se certifique de que seu cachorro é bem-vindo.
- Tome cuidado com sol e temperatura – Prefira horários de menor calor para levar seu cachorro à praia, como antes das 11 horas e após as 16 horas. Cachorros podem se mostrar muito sensíveis ao calor, principalmente raças braquicefálicas ou de pelo longo. Cuidado também com a temperatura da areia e do asfalto, pois o calor pode machucar as patas, formando bolhas e rachaduras nas almofadinhas. - Cuide da hidratação – Deixe o pote de água do seu cachorro em um local fresco e longe do sol, e troque a água várias vezes ao dia para que ela esteja sempre fresquinha. Aqui em casa sempre coloco umas pedrinhas de gelo para manter o frescor por mais tempo.
- Não deixe sujeira do seu cachorro na praia – A praia é um lugar de lazer e diversão, e ninguém quer dar de cara com um cocô de cachorro na areia, certo? Além do mau cheiro, as fezes atraem moscas e podem transmitir doenças para pessoas e outros cães. O mesmo vale para a urina. Retire a areia com a sujeira para evitar que outras pessoas e animais pisem em cima.

Já que vamos curtir a praia é muito importante que a gente também se preocupe com os insetos. Isso porque as áreas litorâneas e de mata apresentam muitos mosquitos responsáveis por transmitir o verme do coração aos animais. A doença é silenciosa e pode ser fatal se não tratada adequadamente.
Também conhecida como dirofilariose, a doença é transmitida a partir da picada de um mosquito. “Não há uma espécie em particular, até mesmo o pernilongo comum pode ser portador do Dirofilaria immitis. Quando o mosquito pica o cachorro, o verme entra pelo orifício e vai para a corrente sanguínea, se aloja no pulmão onde encontra um local propício para o desenvolvimento. Atinge o coração na fase mais avançada”, explica o médico veterinário Ricardo Cabral, coordenador técnico da Virbac.
