Porém, estes sintomas não são específicos para o cachorro com febre, existem outros motivos que podem causar o aparecimento do focinho quente ou seco. Por isso é importante sempre ter um termômetro por perto e conhecer a temperatura corporal do pet.
Temperatura normal de cachorro
Essa é uma das dúvidas mais comuns dos tutores, pois a temperatura do cachorro é diferente da nossa e pode assustar os pais de primeira viagem. Para nós humanos, a temperatura normal varia de 36ºC a 36,7ºC, já a temperatura normal dos cães é de 37,5ºC a 39,3º. Sempre fique alerta, pois se a temperatura do seu pet se elevar muito mais que isso ele pode começar a apresentar sinais e sintomas sérios. Sendo que temperaturas muito elevadas necessitam de tratamentos rápidos para não causar risco ao funcionamento dos órgãos e a saúde do cão.
Existem dois tipos de termômetro que podemos usar para ver se o cachorro está com febre eles são:
- Termômetro anal: deve ser usado por profissionais capacitados, pois pode causar lesões se usado de forma errada;
- Termômetro auricular: mesmo que seu custo seja um pouco mais elevado, procure ter um em casa, pois é muito menos estressante para o pet. Basta colocar no ouvido que você já saberá a temperatura do seu cachorro.
Por isso é bom ficar alerta e conhecer os sintomas do cachorro com febre, pois caso você não tenha um termômetro, você consiga socorrer seu pet.
Sintomas de febre em cachorro
Se você não possui o termômetro auricular e acha que o seu pet pode estar com febre, leve-o ao veterinário para que possa ser examinado e ter sua temperatura aferida. O cachorro com febre apresenta alguns sinais de que não está bem como:
- Apatia;
- Desânimo;
- Perda de apetite;
- Olhos avermelhados;
- Barriga bem quente;
- Tremores;
- Sonolência;
- Cansaço;
- Aumenta a ingestão de água;
- Diarréia;
Caso você perceba que seu pet teve uma mudança de comportamento ou que está com um destes sintomas, procure o auxílio de um veterinário, para que ele possa receber o acompanhamento necessário.
